2016 Festivals in Coos County Oregon

Oregon’s Adventure Coast, Coos Bay, North Bend, Charleston and surrounding communities offer great summer fun with our many festivals! We love to celebrate! And celebrate we do! We encourage you to come and visit our area and enjoy world class golfing, wild sand dune adventures, breathtaking views and of course, festivals! Here is a list of Festivals in 2016:

South Coast Celtic Fest: Celtic food, movies, stories, clothing, dancing and music are celebrated at this unique festival. May 7. Visit the official Celtic Fest website for schedule of events:

Lakeside Crawdad Festival: Taste the spicy heat of a real Nawlins Crawdad Boil! The event features fun crawdad races, chicken bingo, a kids carnival, vendors row and live music throughout the weekend. Mother’s Day Weekend May 7,8. Festival of Sail: Featuring the The Hawaiian Chieftain and Lady Washington tall ships. Enjoy a week of all things nautical including ship tours, cannon battle adventure sails, food, stories, roaming pirates, live music, stories and art! May 5-17. BBQ, Blues and Brews on the Bay: Two full days of a real Kansas City BBQ Society cook off contest with thousands of dollars in prize money! Live music, BBQ from several different establishments from throughout the northwest and a beer tasting with several regional craft breweries! Coquille Gay 90’s: Celebrating the establishment of historic Coquille City, the county seat of Coos. The event has several fun activities throughout the weekend: Duck race, pancake feed, parade, car cruise and show & shine, fun run, softball tournament, vendors and live music! June 4,5. Powers White Cedar Days: Several days of food, music and fun are what you will find at the long running, more than 41 years, independence celebration! Some of the events include a kid’s parade, teen street dance, live music, softball tournament, parade, beard contest, and fireworks display! July 1-4. Lakeside Brew Fest: Two days of music food and brew! Seven brewers, two wineries and two cider mills come to Wulfy Beach in Lakeside for this music and brew event. Sample all the beverages, find the one you like and fill your souvenir glass to the brim. June 17, 18. North Bend July Jubilee: Celebrating the birth of North Bend Oregon and the rich history behind it. Several mini events throughout the weekend, All Car Cruise and Show and Shine, parade, vendors, food and more! July 15, 16 and 17, times vary. Charleston Seafood Beer and Wine Festival: Enjoy live music both days with the K-DOCK Clam Jam, vendors, seafood, regional craft beer and wine at the Charleston Boat Basin. Blackberry Arts Festival: Thousands of people come from all over to enjoy this celebration of the sweet blackberry. Several vendors offering blackberry delights, arts and crafts. Live music both days with the K-DOCK Blackberry Jam. Large food court, beer and wine garden. Located in Downtown Coos Bay. Goatzilla Music Festival: On the scenic Coquille River near Bandon! Two full days of live rock and blues music! What they provide: Free camping, a common fire pit & firewood, portable restrooms & hand washing station, a canoe with lifejackets, campsites, parking & a few extra drums for the drum circle. Bandon Cranberry Festival: Bandon is the home of the world famous Bandon Dunes Golf Resort, delicious fresh seafood, homemade candy and cranberries! Harvest time is celebration time in Bandon. Myrtle Point Harvest Festival: The Harvest Festival attracts thousands of visitors who spend the day strolling up and down the streets enjoying arts, crafts, and great food from vendors and admiring hundreds of classic cars entered in the Show & Shine event. Bay Area Fun Festival: This event boasts more than 25,000 visitors over two days and features one of the largest car cruises in the Pacific Northwest! Visitors come from all over the country for the annual Steve Prefontaine Memorial Run. The vendor row and food court has more than 100 different booths.
