(North Bend, OR) – Coming off a record year in 2023, the Southwest Oregon Regional Airport continues to see better-than-expected passenger numbers for commercial travel out of North Bend. Just under 68% of available seats in January were filled by passengers flying to and from San Francisco aboard United Express operated by Skywest. Those contributed to a 17% increase over January 2023.

For the first time in more than a decade, the Coos County Airport District experienced a record number of commercial air passenger enplanements in 2023. Passengers filled 75 to 87 percent of available seats during last year’s peak summer season. The number boarding or disembarking United Express flights climbed to nearly 40,000 passengers. That was due, in part, to extra flight dates in November and December.

Many people are making their plans for Spring and Summer travel. Passengers can fly directly to and from San Francisco four days a week. The Flights on Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, and Friday will remain in effect for San Francisco at least through March 31, 2024. Daily flights to and from San Francisco could return in April. Non-stop flights to Denver are expected to resume in May. United Express is operated by Skywest. To book your flight, visit www.flyOTH.com or www.united.com.
