The Coos County Airport District received a letter from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regarding a number of obstacle/obstructions within the Part 77 Approach Surface Slope, located in the vicinity of the Airport.
The FAA considers the obstacles to be hazardous to safe flight operations in and out of the North Bend Airport and has required the Airport District institute corrective actions to mitigate the safety issues. The Southwest Oregon Regional Airport is required to top/shorten trees that are currently penetrating the Part 77 Approach Surface Slope. Local property owners, identified by the FAA, have been notified in writing.
If you believe that trees on your property may interfere with aircraft, please contact Robert Brittsan, Airport Administration at 541-756-8531×104.
